Indie movie maverick Henrique Couto is known for his ambitious low-budget horrors like Amityville No Escape, Babysitter Massacre and Scarewaves – contemporary movies that deliver the exploitative thrills, chills, practical FX and T&A associated with the horror heyday of the 1980s and ‘90s. 

A prolific producer as well as a filmmaker, Henrique has also expanded his unique DIY brand into podcasting and true crime analysis, which can be found on his YouTube Channel.

In 2025, Henrique was inducted into the Horror Hound Horror Host Hall of Fame in recognition of his body of work in the horror genre.
